Mallory has loved and studied music from a very early age, and she started teaching violin when she was 13 years old! Since then, she has achieved mastery of the violin both as soloist and also as an orchestral and chamber musician. In addition to her extensive musical and academic journey, Mallory has greatly invested in the lifelong, holistic development of her own artistic soul. This investment directly influences the philosophy of Mallory’s teaching.

In her own words, Mallory shares that she is dedicated to “challenging and equipping students to become joyful, independent, lifelong learners through sequenced, holistic violin study.” She thoroughly integrates the values and teachings from the Violin Technique Method, and her students are flourishing both musically and developmentally, enjoying the many creative ideas and enriching studio opportunities that Mallory provides.

“I founded this studio with a vision of guiding my students on a journey, not just of musicianship, but of mastery, personal ownership, and discovery. To learn the violin, one must explore a complex layering of skills- from technique to posture, theory to musicianship, curiosity to bravery- it’s almost like learning to be a superhero! I believe every student possesses the ability to master these skills, one by one, and become not just superheroes of the violin, but powerful masters of their own lives. Learning to play the violin is an incredible journey!”

Mallory is currently teaching virtual and/or in-person lessons, violin lessons at all levels, and beginning piano lessons from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
