Here’s a very short video of Prokofiev playing his own music and composing. You can see an English translation from a fan in the Youtube comment section. In it, Prokofiev references his composing the Cinderella Suites. So fun to watch and see this genius at work!
(Question) “Sergei, can you tell our audience about your work?”
(Sergei’s answer) “Well, I'm working on a Symphony Suite that will include three waltzes from Cinderella, two waltzes from War and Peace, and one waltz from film Lermontov. Now with great brilliance put in Leningrad [War and peace], and especially distinguished composer Chizhko, who acted as a tenor and perfectly performed by Pierre Bezukhov. In addition to this Suite, I am writing a Sonata for violin and piano, and at the end of it I will work on the Sixth Symphony, which I started last year. I've just finished three suites from the ballet Cinderella, and I'm giving them to the publishing to write the parts, so they'll probably be played at the beginning of the fall season.”
